Puffy Eyes and Dull Skin Treatment

Puffy Eyes and Dull Skin Treatment

Cucumber slices have long been touted as an excellent cure for relieving puffy eyes. With the addition of gingko and mate tea, you’re also on your way to naturally beautiful skin!

  • Cool cucumber slices help soothe puffy eyes and ease painful inflammation.
  • Ginkgo, which has been popular in the East for many years, comes from the nut of the Ginkgo biloba tree, believed to be the oldest living tree species.
  • Ginkgo is full of a substance called quercetin, a common and powerful antioxidant. In fact, mounting research indicates that ginkgo’s anti-inflammatory and defensive properties are particularly strong. Anyone with acne, eczema, or other types of facial redness and inflammation, in particular, may benefit from products with ginkgo.
  • Recent studies also suggest that ginkgo may effectively halt de-pigmentation - that is, the patchy loss of skin’s natural color - and aid in re-pigmentation.

So how can you apply these fun ginkgo facts to your skin care routine? Use The Entrepreneur tea which is packed in ginkgo and antioxidants, in a homemade facial mask. I can’t think anything better than boosting brain power as you’re on your way to beautiful skin!

ONO Cucumber Ginkgo Facial Mask

Directions:  Brew a 5 Cup pot of ONO The Entrepreneur. Drink the antioxidants and save the leaves.

½ cup chopped cucumber
½ cup The Entrepreneur brewed leaves
1 egg white
2 tsp. powdered milk

2 slices of cucumber

In a blender combine all of the ingredients until they form a smooth, paste-like consistency. You can apply the mask immediately or refrigerate it for 30 minutes.

Apply 2 tablespoons of the cucumber ginkgo mask to your face and neck in circular upward motions. Cover each eye with a cucumber slice. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes, or until dry. To remove the mask simply rinse your face and neck with warm water, followed by a cold water rinse. Finally, pat dry your face and neck.

Other tips on reducing puffiness:
     - Stay away from the salt shaker and proocessed foods
     - Stay away from drinks with high sodium such as pop
     - Make your own tea bag eye pillows. Use a large tea filter and fill with an ONO green tea. The tannins in the tea can actually help diminish the puffiness. Tannin is a natural astringent that helps tone your skin. Green tea contains a high amount of tannins, so it’s a great choice for eye compresses.
