Hey George!

I miss you guys over at the JW!

A#1: You can do the salt water flushes in the evening when you get home but take precautions. You may not want to go to bed too soon after the flush. :D

A#2: Yes, I did that all summer! I iced it in my ONO to-go-tumbler when I was out with my friends.

A#3: I did some exercise but not until a few days into the cleanse. I blogged about my yoga experience in Days 5-10. You can still work out but don’t over-exert yourself. The salt water flush took a lot of energy out of me the first couple days but after I flushed all the toxins out, I felt great!

I would love to see you guys and do a detox class! Just let me know George! XOXO

Phuong -

Okay, I'm intrigued but I am not confident that I can go through the whole phase given my surroundings at the jdub.

Q#1 - because of the consequences, can you do all the salt flushes at night?

Q#2 - can you drink he lemonade on ice?

Q#3 - do you recommend any exercise during the cleansing?

Thanks. When are you coming to visit the jdub? the jdek is opening at the end of the month. Maybe a detox class?

OMGOODness!! Holy Detox!! I had no idea that you did this cleanse that I've been hearing so much about. I actually do a very similar one which started out as Dr. Li's program in 1998 (in a shortened version more conforming to my hectic corporate/grind/super social lifestyle) at the time. It included suppplements and a month long calendar with TWO 3-day fasts. Over the years i have redesigned it by replacing the brown sugar with maple syrup. The water however, is ONLY distilled and consists of 3 day fast. You may fast longer if you choose. Back in October i went 5 1/2 days, it was incredible. My program as well as Dr. Li;s also does not include Cayenne pepper although, I did (upon a wellness professional's suggestion) include it in the mixture and was super nauseous. This makes sense considering that I've since learned that any kind of pepper whatsoever is NOT good for type A blood. This also explains the way peppers can actually trigger my hay fever in the spring. I havn't included 32 ounces of salt water however, tried 3 days (during progam) of 1-2 teaspoons of sea or Himalayan salt in distilled water and yes, had a severe reaction which really cleaned me up well (;-) So I've done this 4 week program about 12 times now (twice /yr once near my b-day and the other near Sept 11th) and recently, just finished the fasting part. Have been eating raw food ever since Monday until today...I MUST SAY THAT I didn't know that the herbal tea may be part of this type of cleanse/fast although, I DID DRINK TWO CUPS OF HOLY DETOX 3 DAYS BEFORE FASTING AND LOVED IT!! I FELT LIGHTER BEFORE THE START!! I REALLY LOVE THE QUALITY AND FLAVOR OF IT, THANK YOU. I will be sure to include it as part of my liquid fast the next time around Sept 11th.
OXOX
BE GOODness,

Hello! This is day 7 of the master cleanse for me and I must admit its been easier than I thought (thanks to people like you posting there experiences)! Just 1 question, I have yet to experience solid bowel movements...especially not any tar rubber looking stuff! I am following this exactly to the T...but have only had (sorry for this) but loose liquid stool...when did you start experiencing this? Thanks for your help!

Ku - of course it is safe. I am alive and feel better than ever. BUT that is my experience. If you feel horrible and can't tolerate it, it's obviously smart to stop. I'm doing a 14 day cleanse soon following the same program.

Alecia - Thank you! You won't smell that bad to other people. My Mom didn't notice BUT since your senses will be on over-drive you will smell everything. Chances are people you are surrounded by will smell worse to you. I remember walking by a man and he totally wreaked of cigarettes. I wanted to vomit.
