I’m obsessed with using ONO Matcha tea in my cooking! Not only because it totally brings out the flavor of the dish, but also because it’s so healthy! Matcha uses the entire tea leaf so it is full of nutrients and antioxidants. According to research done by Tufts University, the ORAC capacity of matcha green tea is exponentially higher than other foods known for their high antioxidants levels such as blueberries and spinach.
Here is my recipe for some ONO-licious Banana Chocolate Chip cookies! Enjoy!
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 C butter
1 C sugar (12 packets of truvia)
1 egg
1 C mashed bananas
1 tsp baking soda
1 C all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons of ONO Matcha
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
12 ounces chocolate chip, or as desired
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
2. In a mixer, cream the butter and sugar with a paddle until it’s light and fluffy. Add the egg and continue creaming the mixture unttil it is light and fluffy.
3. In a separate bowl, mix bananas and baking soda. Let it sit for 2 min.
4. Mix the bananas into the butter mixture.
5. Mix together the flour, Matcha, salt and cinnamon. Sift all these ingredients into the butter and banana mixture.
6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
7. Spoon onto a baking sheet and bake until the center is still a little soft. Approximately 12 minutes.
