I was hanging out with my girlfriends last week and one of them suggested a holiday tea party. We’re definitely not the traditional Victorian tea drinking girls so I needed to come up with something creative and fun. I’ll give a brief tea class before the party and then it’s martini shaking time! Here are some delicious drinks I came up with:
Candy Cane Martini
Get your antioxidants and your buzz on with this perfect holiday treat!
INGREDIENTS:
3 ounces vodka infused with ONO Crème Earl Grey
3 ounces of white creme de cacao
1 ounces peppermint schnapps
Simple syrup
Crushed candy cane and a whole candy cane for garnish
* Simple syrup : equal parts of hot water and white sugar. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is cooled before using. This can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks.
*Infuse a bottle of vodka with 1/8 cup of ONO Crème Earl Grey for 4-6 hours or overnight.
PREPARATION:
Dip the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup and then into the crushed candy cane.
Combine the vodka infused with tea, white crème de caco, and peppermint schnapps in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously and strain into the rimmed martini glass. Garnish with a candy cane.
ONO Aphrodisiac Chai Martini
Chai and apple - Can you think of a better fall/winter pairing? Get swept off your feet with this enchanting blend of Chai black tea, rose petals, lavender, and jasmine buds.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces of apple juice
1 ½ ounce of ONO Aphrodisiac Chai Vodka *
½ ounce of vanilla liqueur
Red apple slice for garnish
In a cocktail shaker full of ice, combine the apple juice, Aphrodisiac vodka and vanilla liqueur. Shake vigorously then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of Granny Smith apple.
*Infuse a bottle of vodka with 1/8 cup of ONO Aphrodisiac Chai for 4-6 hours or overnight.
ONO Italian Love Affair Martini
Seduce your taste buds with my sexy remake of the traditional tiramisu martini. Serve your loved one a biscotti dipped in this tantalizing drink.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ounce kahlua
3 ounces of chilled ONO Mate Toscana*
1 ounce vanilla vodka
1 ounce of white crème de cacao
2 ounces of light cream
Plate of chocolate shavings
sliced strawberries
* Use 1 tsp of mate toscana tea to brew 3 ounces of mate toscana. Infuse the tea for 15 min. Chill.
* Simple syrup : equal parts of hot water and white sugar. Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is cooled before using. This can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks.
PREPARATION:
Dip the rim of the martini glass in simple syrup. Then dip the rim in your plate of chocolate shavings.
Combine the kalua and chilled mate toscana in the martini glass.
Combine the vodka, white creme de cacao, light cream, simple syrup in a martini shaker filled with ice.
Shake vigorously and carefully strain into the rimmed martini glass. This will create a layer on top of the mate toscana layer.
Garnish with a slice of strawberry.
Tee-quila Time
Who would have thought you could have this much fun with tea. Green mate, found in ONO Tee Time, has been known to have the same effects as caffeine and sugar, without the crash. It combats fatigue and stimulates the mind. Combine that with tequila and you’re on your way to becoming the life of the party.
INGREDIENTS:
2 ounces silver tequila
4 ounces of chilled ONO Tee Time*
¼ ounce agave syrup
½ ounce lime cordial
Orange peel for garnish
* Use 1 tsp of tee time tea to brew 3 ounces of tee time. Infuse the tea for 15 min. Chill.
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker. Shake heavily and strain into a glass filled with ice cubes. Garnish with an orange peel and festive decoration.
